Rainbow Glen Self Catering Chalets is located in Montagu in the Cape Winelands & Breede Valley, Western Cape.

- Perfect for: wine-tasting (numerous wine farms in the area) tractor trips up the mountain, hiking trails, mountain biking, Hot Springs, boat trips, Art Galleries, museums and historical walks.
Rainbow Glen Self Catering Chalets is located in Montagu, conveniently close to the Cogmanskloof hiking trails and Rock Climbing Crags and has a splendid view of Kanonkop from all of the chalets.
We are also within walking distance to farmstalls, coffee shops, restaurants, and shops including the dried fruit and nut shops as well as the Quaint Saturday morning village market.
There are seven affordable self-catering chalets. The chalets accommodate between 2 to 6 people and each chalet has its own veranda with built in braai facilities. Each chalet has an adequately equipped little kitchenette and bathroom with shower and all linen is provided, including bath towels. please bring your own swimming towels.
There is also one larger apartment off the main house but completely separate and overlooks the pool with three bedrooms two with ensuite bathrooms. It has a full kitchen and DSTV.
Guests can enjoy the swimming pool on hot summer days as well as a spacious lawn where families can play games or simply relax and enjoy the mountain view. Please note no music or noise. We have a safe environment for children but children must be supervised by parents at all times.
We can accommodate groups as well as individuals and families. Our location is also ideal for quiet events such as family birthday celebrations and quiet affordable weddings and our whole venue must be booked out for these. We allow guests to bring along well behaved pets.
Montagu is located on Route 62 the longest wine route in the world. Apart from wine-tasting on the numerous wine farms in the area, there are many other activities on offer, including tractor trips up the mountain, hiking trails, mountain biking, Hot Springs, boat trips, Art Galleries, museums and historical walks.
All of our Chalets come equipped with a microwave. We have two camp cots available on request as well as high chairs and baby bath

- Sleeps two couples and four singles (suitable for two couples and four children).
- Two comfy double rooms each with en-suite bathroom with shower, kids’ bedroom with two single beds and a set of bunk beds, fully equipped kitchen with an oven, lounge with DSTV, braai area.
- Linen and bath towels provided.

Montagu is a charming, historic village nestled between two mountain ranges, halfway between Cape Town and the Garden Route, and lies in the heart of the legendary Route 62. With crystal clear air, beautiful mountains, a superb climate and plenty to do, it is the ideal breakaway spot from city living. Summer is warm and dry with carefree days and plenty of fruit to eat. Autumn brings a kaleidoscope of stunning colours and in winter the days are mild and sunny with the occasional rainfall.

Terms & Conditions
- The property (you) must offer the 15% saving to all verified members
- Verification is done automatically at the time of an enquiry. It is at the property’s discretion whether to offer the saving for a telephonic enquiry. (As you have no means to verify the membership number, it is advisable to get them to do a formal enquiry so they can be verified).
- If the property is currently running a "Special" greater than 15% then the "Special" price will apply. (No further savings needs to be offered). EXCEPT in the case where the "Special" is lower than 15%. In that case the 15% will apply.
Example: A property offering a 10% discount, must offer an additional 5% discount to valid members - so they get a total 15% saving. - The property must offer valid members the saving all year round. (Properties that pick and chose in which seasons to participate run the risk of being removed from the programme completely. Allowing selective participation defeats the integrity of this initiative).
- The property must not inflate the price before the 15% is applied. Prices displayed should be the rack rate. (The official or advertised price of a room).
- The property must honour any bookings made while the property was participating as a $elect Stays property.
- The property must honour the agreement and the spirit in which the initiative is designed to benefit local tourism.
